The Ida County Sheriff's Office made an arrest on January 31, 2017 following a joint investigation with the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office arrested Trenton Lee Matthews, 19 of Danbury, Iowa and charged him with attempted burglary for an incident that occurred at Sparky's in Battle Creek, and with criminal mischief in the 3rd degree and trespass for an incident that occurred at the Catholic Church in Ida Grove.

The Sheriff's Office also filed the same charges on two Danbury juveniles who were also involved.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges in Ida County are possible. Woodbury County will be filing charges in connection with their investigation involving the same individuals that occurred in Danbury, Iowa.

A search warrant was executed by deputies from Ida County and Woodbury County in Ida Grove, Iowa in connection with the Danbury incident in the early afternoon of January 31st and items connected to the Danbury incident were recovered and seized by the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office.
