Following a one-week investigation into an explosion that took place at a residence located at 2362 Carriage Avenue Battle Creek, lowa on July 6, 2022 the lda County Sheriffs Office and the lowa State Fire Marshal's Office have determined the cause of the explosion that injured three
occupants who were inside the home at the time of the explosion.

The cause of the explosion and the resulting fire was due to an underground gas leak in the LP line.
