Ida County is not and has never been a sanctuary county. We were erroneously flagged as one. After providing our policy to the Center for Immigration Studies we have been removed from their list. Our policies are sound and comply with Iowa and Federal law. We work closely with our state and federal law enforcement partners to enforce all laws, including immigration law.  Attached you will see our policy and email confirmation that we were removed from this list.
